Baraolt Mountains map (digital version)

The map shows the Baraolt Mountains and its neighborhood: the Lower Háromszék Basin and the northern part of the historical Burzenland - homeland of the Transylvanian Saxons - region.
The ’capital’ of the mountains (and also Covasna county) is Sfântu-Gheorghe. Şugaş-Băi is a famous mountain resort and winter sport centre.
The area is rich in mineral waters such as in Şugaş-Băi, Vâlcele and Malnaş Băi.
The historical Saxon settlements are the parts of Unesco World Heritage. Many fortified churches can be found in this region, the most notable are in Prejmer, Hărman and Feldioara.
